What materials are used in the construction of the plinths? Are they durable and easy to clean?

Medi-Plinth medical couches utilize high-quality materials, including vinyl and stainless steel, which are both durable and easy to clean. These materials promote hygiene and infection control, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment. All of their products are latex free.


What is the thickness of the upholstery, and what material is it made from?

Each product is upholstered in durable, comfortable vinyl which inhibits MRSA (3352 Methicillin resistant to Staphylococcus Aurous), Bio-Pruf treated to resist the growth of mould, mildew and odour causing microbes. The vinyl is also fire retardant. The thickness of the upholstery is roughly 68mm of which 55mm is foam.

How should I clean my Medi-Plinth couch?

Regularly clean the fabrics to remove fatty substances and soiling. For light soiling, use a damp, soapy cloth or sponge to wipe the surface, followed by rinsing with water and drying. If dirt is ingrained, use a soft brush to scrub the surface. For stubborn stains, you may use a mix of 1 part methylated spirits to 5 parts water. A very mild antiseptic may also be used if required.

Ensure the vinyl is protected from oil-based products (including body oils) to prevent the vinyl from hardening due to prolonged contact.

Do Medi-Plinth offer warranties or guarantees on their medical plinths?

Medi-Plinth offer a warranty to cover manufacturing or material defects of 7 years for frames and 3 years for moving parts. Their full terms and conditions can be found here.

Can I get my couch reupholstered?

Torn or damaged upholstery sections represent a significant infection control risk. Therefore Medi-Plinth offer a full range of replacement upholstery sections for all their couches. Are spare parts readily available for Medi-Plinth couches in case of repairs or replacements?

How do you raise and lower the different types of couch?

Each electric Medi-Plinth model comes with an electric handset with foot switch control available as an optional extra. The Hydraulic models are operated via a foot pump.

Do the hydraulic Medi-Plinth models require a power source?

Medi-Plinth offers fully assembled hydraulic tables that do not require a power supply, as users can manually operate them through a foot pump.

What are the standard base sizes for each Medi-Plinth couch?
