This allows immediate warming and more time for other pre-surgical tasks. Fluid outlets in the blanket minimise fluid pooling while the patient’s natural pressure points compress the warming blanket, preventing warm air from reaching potentially ischemic tissue. Perforations in the soft, radiolucent materials provide uniform convective warming. The blanket also has two resealable hose ports at either end that provide options for hose placement. A clear plastic drape is included to help retain warm air around the patient’s head and maintain normothermia.
