Developed in collaboration with our bed experts in Halifax, West Yorkshire, this four-section electrical profiling bed features adjustable head, foot and knee sections to support effective care delivery. It provides enhanced clinical, safety and comfort benefits for both patients and carers, helping to reduce complications associated with immobility. In addition to its multiple profiling and positioning options, the CASA Elite Plus Bariatric Bed offers increased size and weight capacity.

The CASA Elite Plus Bariatric Bed integrates advanced profiling features to promote resident comfort, dignity and wellbeing, while supporting clinical best practice. Designed for demanding care environments, it also accommodates a maximum patient weight of 320kg (50.4st), making it suitable for both standard and bariatric care.

Auto Contour

A pre-programmed profiling function that raises and lowers the backrest and knee break simultaneously. This helps maintain alignment and reduces sliding down the bed.

Auto Regression

As the backrest rises (0°–70°), the base slides slightly backward to increase space in the pelvic area. This reduces shear, enhances comfort, and mimics the spine’s natural movement and is especially beneficial during backrest elevation.

Reverse Trendelenburg

Provides a foot-down tilt of up to 12°, elevating the head end of the bed. This position supports improved breathing, digestion and social engagement, while offering an alternative lying posture to reduce discomfort or pressure.

Cardiac Chair Position

Creates a semi-seated, chair-like posture within the bed, combining the Auto Contour with optional Reverse Trendelenburg tilt. Ideal for patients who remain in bed for extended periods, it encourages interaction, self-feeding, all while maintaining comfort and support.

Lower Leg Elevation

The CASA Elite Plus Bariatric Bed includes a ratchet mechanism to manually adjust the leg and calf section. Once the knee break is set, the lower leg angle can be raised and secured for elevation. To release, simply lift the leg section to its highest point and lower it.

Handset Options

The CASA Elite Plus Bariatric Bed is supplied with a 9-button handset as standard. It is lightweight, intuitive to use and includes a lock-out feature to help prevent unauthorised use. An optional 10-button handset enables Trendelenburg positioning (head-down tilt of up to 12°), if prescribed for a resident’s clinical needs.
