Additional information
Drive DeVilbiss Apollo II Dynamic Replacement Mattress System
The Drive DeVilbiss Apollo II Dynamic Replacement Mattress System is a clinically advanced pressure area care surface designed for use in hospital, residential care, and homecare environments. Developed to support enhanced patient care and outcomes, the Apollo II offers dual therapy modes for patients considered at high risk of pressure damage.
The system provides Alternating Therapy Mode, delivering pressure relief over a 10 minute cycle in a 1-in-2 AB pattern, as well as Constant Low Pressure (CLP) Therapy Mode, which creates a static low pressure surface to support patient immersion and pressure redistribution.
The Apollo II pump automatically detects which compatible dynamic surface has been connected and adjusts the pressure setting accordingly. Comfort settings can also be adjusted from soft to firm, helping clinicians tailor support to the individual user. The system includes audible and visual alerts, auto lockout, mute function, accessible rear filter, and integral hanging hooks for mounting the pump to the bed footboard.
The mattress includes 20 cells, made up of 3 static head cells and 17 alternating cells. The individual cell “air on air” construction helps reduce the risk of bottoming out, while the CPR dial at the foot end allows rapid deflation in an emergency. Transport Mode can be used for up to 8 hours during power outages or patient transport by sealing the umbilical cord connector with the transport cap.
The Dartex® multi-stretch cover is water resistant and vapour permeable, with an anti-fungal agent encapsulated in the cover to help control microbial deterioration. A white inner substrate helps identify signs of cover damage or strike-through, while the 360° zip, welded seams, and waterfall flap help reduce the risk of fluid ingress. The mattress also includes 8 securing straps with D rings and a cable management system on the bottom cover.
