The Vortex Air Macerator is offered as an economical alternative to bedpan washers and autoclaves. This quick, economical and hygienic device is capable of macerating up to 6 pulp items at a time. The integral SmartFlow™ maceration system ensures maximum performance. A smooth design and antimicrobial surface also work to reduce the risk of HCAIs alongside our sensor controlled touch-less technology operation.

What is a Macerator?

A macerator efficiently disposes of single-use waste materials, such as incontinence pads and pulp items. By breaking these down into a fine slurry, which is then safely flushed away. This minimises the risk of cross-contamination and reduces the environmental impact.

Why use a single-use, disposables system?

What is SmartFlow™?

The unique ‘closed-drum’ system ensures that all waste is fully broken down before being released into the wastewater system. Upon discharge, when crushed and disintegrated by the macerator, pulp decomposes into particles, 95% of which are less than 1mm and are easily transported by the sewage pipes to the wastewater treatment plants (similarly to toilet paper). Studies have proven our discharge flow rate is 4x faster than any competitors.
