System6 is also a high level disinfecting agent ensuring removal of bactericidal contamination from within internal operating components.

Descaling frequency recommendation:

• Soft / medium water areas: Every 2/3 weeks
• Hard water areas: Use Weekly

1. Descaling the Boiling/Reservoir

• Ensure the unit is disconnected from the power source and the boiling reservoir is empty of water
• Add 50ml (2 x 25ml measures) of System6 concentrate together with 500ml of boiling tap water into the boiling reservoir.

Note: In situations where the boiling tank appears heavily contaminated it is
recommended to add additional boiling water/solution to fully cover the visibly soiled areas at a ratio of 500ml water to 25ml (1 measure) of System6 solution

• Allow the solution to commence its descaling action (dependant on level of soiling this will take approximately 30 minutes)
• Following the required contact time empty and then thoroughly rinse the boiling reservoir with fresh water in order to remove all traces of loose residue
• In the event of gross soiling it may be necessary to repeat the above process
• The distiller is now ready for normal use

2. Disinfecting the Distiller

• Add 50ml (1 x 25ml measure) of System6 concentrate to approximately 500ml of boiling/hot water into the boiling reservoir
• In order to commence disinfection of the unit set as if to allow the distiller to operate normally
• Once the distillation process commences disconnect the distiller from its power source (DO NOT ALLOW THE UNIT TO BOIL DRY) and leave the unit to stand for a minimum 10 minute disinfection/contact time 
• Empty and rinse out the boiling reservoir, refill with 500ml of boiling/hot water and run the distiller for approximately 10/15 minutes in order to rinse any remaining solution from within all internal/unseen parts
• Discard all remaining water/solution and rinse the reservoir/s
• The Distiller is now fully sanitised and ready for normal use
