SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto range is used for the disposal of sharps that have been contaminated with cytotoxic or cytostatic medicines.
It is the next evolution of the range, offering a sustainable alternative made from at least 40% recycled plastic.
Available in the following sizes:
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 0.6 is ideal for community healthcare workers, it is designed to fit in the DANIELS® community nursing container and easily fitted into a bag or glove compartment.
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 1 is ideal for use in the community.
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 2.5 is a general purpose sharps container providing maximum capacity in the minimum working space, it is ideal for use in a ward or department setting.
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 5 is a general purpose sharps container providing maximum capacity in the minimum working space, it is ideal for use in a ward or department setting.
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 7 is a multi-purpose container featuring a robust pail handle for easy transportation.
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 11.5 is a multi-purpose container with a wider aperture allows easy insertion of larger items
- SHARPSGUARD® eco cyto 22 is a multi-purpose container for use in theatres, laboratories, sluice rooms and other areas with high volumes of sharps and other hazardous waste.
These containers are for disposal by incineration or other authorised process and is designed for the consignment of waste categorised by the following EWC codes: 18 01 01, 18 01 03*, 18 01 08*, 18 01 09, 18 02 01, 18 02 02*, 18 02 07*, 18 02 08.
The containers are manufactured to BS EN ISO 23907 and UN3291.
To ensure the containers are safe and simple to use there are assembly instructions (where applicable) and locking instructions on the label, along with the details about how to keep the users and contents safe in-between uses.
