The HandyTube manual transfer aid is a sliding sheet to assist with shorter transfers in bed, between two beds or from bed to stretcher. The sheet can be used with both average-weight and bariatric patients.
HandyTube is developed by Liko especially to facilitate patient transfers by reducing friction. The HandyTube is manufactured from a low-friction material that minimizes friction between the patient and the bedding, thus reducing caregiver workload in a number of different situations. It is an aid for e.g. moving a patient higher up in bed, turning the patient in bed, as well as moving the patient from bed to bed/gurney.
