The Welch Allyn 3.5V NiCad Rechargeable Handle provides a durable rechargeable power source for compatible Welch Allyn 3.5V diagnostic instrument heads, including selected otoscopes, ophthalmoscopes and retinoscopes.

Featuring a rechargeable Nickel-Cadmium battery and chrome-plated brass construction, the handle has a smooth knurled finish for a secure grip during clinical examinations. Diagnostic heads and charging equipment are not included.

Are diagnostic heads included?
No. This product is supplied as the rechargeable handle and Ni-Cad battery only. Compatible Welch Allyn 3.5V diagnostic heads are available separately.

Can this handle be converted to use standard C-cell batteries?
No. The 71020-A is the rechargeable-only model. The separate 71020-C version is designed for conversion to standard C-cell batteries.
